Phyltest 2.0 Publisher's description
The Phyltest application was developed to be a program for four-cluster analysis, interior-branch test, relative rate tests and the computation of the time of divergence and estimation of average pairwise distances (and standard errors) within and between clusters of sequences.
The following analyses can be conducted with this program:
- Comparison of three alternative phylogenetic trees for four monophyletic clusters of sequences (four-cluster analysis; Rzhetsky, Kumar & Nei 1995).
- Examination of the null hypothesis that an interior branch length is significantly greater than zero (interior-branch test; Rzhetsky & Nei 1992).
- Estimation of average pairwise distances (and standard errors) within and between clusters of sequences.
- Relative rate tests and the computation of the time of divergence.
