When you are familiar with vehicle diagnostics, you have 100 problems, and for each problem you have your own software, an own dedicated hardware and some dedicated hardware drivers to deal with that particular task.
The OOBD or Open On Board Diagnostics application supports a self-programmable tool for Vehicle Onboard Diagnostics (OBD).
Here are some key features of "OOBD":
* Extent-able through loadable classes for new visualizations, functionality or new hardware
* Communication flow and data presentation controlled by loadable LUA-Scripts
